Inspired: Field Guide

Imagine just up and deciding to make a field guide one day. Cataloging every variety of mushroom, ladybug, chipmunk and clover with over 2,800 detailed illustrations. Amateur naturalist John Muir Law did exactly that for six years, resulting in his Field Guide to the Sierra Nevada.

I first saw the guide when a friend of mine bought it as a gift last month. It’s absolutely amazing…a resource for anyone, even if you live nowhere near the Sierras. And the price ($16) is the bargain of the century. You have to see it in person to believe it!
