Things I Love Today: Dahlias

Dahlias are such happy flowers! Victorians apparently used them as symbols of “gratitude, dignity and good taste.”

My early October wedding will hit the tail end of their season. I’m hoping I can find some of the white and yellow varieties for the arrangements and bouquets.

Luckily, I have time to do a “flower rehearsal” this October to see what will likely be in season for my wedding next year. Keep your fingers crossed!
