To Do: Free opera

Opera in the Park is back! This free concert is held in Golden Gate Park each year. The show starts at 1:30 this Sunday.

It’s a great opportunity to have a picnic in the sun, listen to some free music and buy discounted tickets for the upcoming season. Plus: loads of SF socialite celebs like the concert’s sponsor, Dede Wilsey. I am reading her stepson’s book, Oh the Glory of it All!

Also, mark your calendar now for the simulcast of Rigoletto on October 6th. Rob and I went to the first of these events in the Civic Center last May. It is amazing! We’ll be there with sleeping bags and dinner. Who wants to join us?
