To Do: Tame the Curls

To Do: Tame the Curls

I have that sort of fine, curly hair that is difficult to control. It simultaneously needs to be encouraged to curl and discouraged to frizz. It gets mixed signals.

My plan for Saturday requires letting it air dry into the most perfect natural curls before heading over to the salon for the low bun treatment.

My old salon has a great product for this called “Set.” You comb in massive quantities of this stuff, sit very still and voila, perfect soft curls that manage to behave for more than a few hours even in the humid wind of San Francisco.

I’ve only commented here once before (to recommend the Sausalito Women’s Club!) but I thought now would be a good time to tell you that I’m also getting married this Saturday, and that it’s been loads of fun reading about you gearing up at the same time as me! My wedding is in Pittsburgh PA, where we live, but I’m originally from San Francisco, so your plans are close to my heart. Best of luck on the big day, and – as everyone tells me – enjoy it because it goes by fast! (I don’t know about you but for me it’s already starting to speed by. :))

A very important comment indeed! Congratulations and good luck on your wedding this weekend. (ps: Isn’t it bizarre!?)

    Hey Emily,
I’m another who’s only commented once – to tell you I too had pityriasis rosacea 🙂 I wanted to wish you all the best this weekend and on your trip. I too, like Julina, hail from Pittsburgh, PA. Someday you should ask everyone who reads your blog to check in with location. I’m sure you have lots of lurkers like me in addition to those you know. Wouldn’t it be something to see how many states (countries?) you reach? Best of luck! Have a WONDERFUL wedding and honeymoon!
