To Do: Film Night in The Park
Except for maybe one or two times a year, San Francisco is always cold at night. Which is why I find it sort of hilarious that the city is so adamant about outdoor evening activities.
We have opera in civic center, shakespeare in the park, countless evening concerts and shows. Each event requires ample packing, a big picnic and plenty of down jackets.
One outdoor event I want to try again is Film Night in the Park. We went to see “It Came from Outer Space” a few years ago in the Presidio. On August 4th, they’re showing Annie Hall in Union Square. I can’t wait!

Wow, this is the exact same film series they are showing here. It is called “Screens on the Green.” It takes place on the lawn next to the Washington Monument. I am seeing Annie Hall on Monday! Except here, it is lovely at night because it is finally cooler! No down jackets required.
How funny. Small world!
How fun! I love Annie Hall.
We do the Screen on the Green thing too.
But ours has humidity added.
It is hilarious that we have outdoor evening activities in SF. I can only remember one night within the last year that it was warm enough for movies in the park. I wish I had known the deal with the SF weather before I moved here. Ah, but the city itself makes up for the crummy weather.
